Paper title: POWER ANALYSIS OF SINGLE-PHASE NONLINEAR LOADS IN ACCORDANCE WITH IEEE STANDARDS, BASED ON REAL TIME SIGNAL RECORDINGS

Author(s): CAMELIA PETRESCU, CRISTINA VATAFU, IUSTINA ZAHARIA,

Abstract:

The paper presents an analysis of the physical quantities (powers – active and nonactive, total harmonic distortion factors, harmonic currents) determined based on experimental voltage and current recordings for several single-phase nonlinear consumers. The IEEE standards and definitions are used for the computations and analysis. The influence of individual, as well as multiple nonlinear loads at the point of coupling is investigated. A review of existing theories concerning power definitions in non-sinusoidal steady state is also presented.
