Paper title: QUASI-STATIONARY ELECTROKINETIC MODELS OF EARTH’S MAGNETIC INTERNAL FIELD SOURCES

Author(s): ANDREI ȚUGULEA, IOSIF VASILE NEMOIANU,

Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to present some possible sources of terrestrial magnetism having as starting point Gilbert’s theory and the Dynamo theory. In accordance with the dipolar characteristic of Earth’s magnetic field, three possible steady-state electrokinetic models satisfying this property are presented. The fourth quasi-stationary electrokinetic model ensures both the dipole-like characteristic and the possible short term migration and long term reversals of Earth’s magnetic poles.
